I’m tryin’ t’ get this on the medical page; we’ll see…
As I said in my last post, I was feelin’ th’ need for some kind of a routine. There was just too much stuff fallin’ thru th’ cracks. And it was important stuff; I was just “too busy” to keep proper care of it all.
So this mornin’, I fell into th’ “new” routine, and it made for a much more productive day. I got my shop time in early and followed it w/some time on th’ Sta. Bike. I’d been doin’ 2 1/2 min. and promised my self I’d up it to 3 this week. I managed 3 1/2 min. before I started gettin’ outta breath. Improvement! Then upstairs and 35 situps and back to the bedroom for the leg-work. And I had it all done by ten AM.
The rest of th’ day was taken up w/computer stuff, a fistful o’ downloads and such. And here we sit!
If I can continue this way, I really think it’ll hasten my recovery. Better attention to the exercise stuff HAS to help, and the establishment of a routine was all I could think of to ensure it all got done.
I’d tried once before to get a routine goin, but that was around th’ time I was also tryin’ Chantix to quit smokin’. THAT met w/only limited success. I no longer smoke cigarettes; but I smoke a pipe now. That Chantix just kicked my butt! I’m not kidding one little bit when I tell you suicide was VERY much on my mind as a perfectly reasonable option. I was diagnosed way back as a depressive, and the Chantix made that even worse. I’m fortunate in that I knew, intellectually, that it was just the drug talkin’. But I FELT so BAD! I eventually, after 4 weeks or so, got to the point where the cure was worse than the disease and gave it up. But I still have my pipe.
I’m goin’ thru 2 pouches o’ tobacco a week, an ounce and a half ea. ‘Tain’t SO bad… ‘Beats a pack a day, anyway. And it’ll be easier t’ quit that than cig’s (I think).
So that’s my day w/th’ new routine. Lets see how well it continues.
